Plugins, themes, and WordPress itself will be updated regularly. We do our best to make sure there aren’t any major issues, but we can’t anticipate everything.

Security and bug fix updates as well as plugin and theme updates will be updated without a testing period, but these don’t often break things.

Major upgrades to WordPress (e.g. 5.4.x to 5.5.0 and 5.x.x to 6.0.0) will be applied to the test site at least 1 week before the main pages.wm.edu site is updated. If you have an account in pages.wm.edu you’ll get an email letting you know when upgrades are happening.

Because of the large number of sites that are hosted here, we can’t hold upgrades for individual cases, but if you need help don’t hesitate to contact the Technology Support Center.
